Shiva in the Bible

How Hinduism and other ancient mythologies connect to the Bible

By: Star Eagle

Blessings and Honor, glory and power be to the Almighty Creator who created the heavens and the earth. Who gave me the wisdom, the knowledge and understanding to learning the secrets of the bible. For without the Creator’s guidance I wouldn’t have the knowledge of what I have now and that is a great blessing. Wisdom is to truly live your life in the understanding of The Creator and the spiritual Laws to live in harmony with yourself as well as with others. “From the ocean of wisdom, one drop of water is knowledge in which, we can only attain for one lifetime.”

Now to let the readers know, this material is not going to be for everyone and of course, it’s understandable due to the many ways and belief systems of the people. For everyone is like a tree growing up with different mannerisms and experiencing different situations based on what they encounter in life. What I can say about this material is that when you read this blog, please do your own research on these connections, because I believe that all should study with the right guidance and understanding. Everybody should know that each person will always know something that others do not know and when you look for truth, the statement “truth fears no investigation” upholds the highest actions. (Especially in today’s society, who want to keep certain information hidden from the public…….)  Many People will not like what I have writtened down, but everything that is brought to light must be shared.

Now, I will detail how the Bible is really not based on monotheism but Henotheism, meaning there are many gods in the Bible, but only make a covenant with just one God. Lets look at some scriptures and see what I mean: Psalms 138:1 "I will praise thee with my whole heart; before the gods will I praise thee." Psalms 135:5 "For I know that the Lord is above all gods." Psalms 136:2,3 "O give thanks to the God of gods: for His mercy endureth forever. O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for His mercy endureth forever." Psalms 86:8 "Among the gods, there is none like unto thee, O Lord, neither are there any works like unto thy works." Psalms 82:1 "God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; He judgeth among the gods." Psalms 95:3 "For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods."

(Then the contradicted verses states in Psalms 96:4,5 "For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens")

Psalms 89:6 "For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?" Exodus18:11 "Now I know that the Lord is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly He was above them." Exodus 15:11 "Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like unto thee glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders ?" Then there is the case of this God saying that he will "smite" the gods of Egypt; Exodus 12:12 "For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt, I will execute judgement: I am the Lord." So, it makes sense that there are other gods in the Bible, but who are they? because this God states that He also makes war against them as well. Let's see who these gods are:

So, if you were to go to Genesis chapter 28, it will detail the story of Jacob and how he had a dream of the angels going up and down a ladder (hence “Jacob’s ladder”) and he sees this particular God on the top of this ladder who states to him that He will bless him and make many nations from. (His children will be like the sands of the sea and the dust of the earth)

And when Jacob wakes up from this dream he states “how dreadful is this place, this is only but the house of God and the gate of heaven”. Then in verse 18 shows Jacob taking up a stone that he used for a pillow and stood it up as a pillar and poured oil upon it and made a vow to God saying “If God will be with me, and will keep me in the way that I will go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, so that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the Lord be my God”. Then in verse 21 and 22 states “So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the Lord be my God. And this stone, which shall be God’s house; and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give a tenth of thee.”

Now what practice does this inscribe to or what kind of culture does the exact same thing? This practice is obviously a Hindu practice called Abhishekam which is the anointing of the pillar with oil, water, milk etc. This pillar in India is known as the Shiva Lingam, to which is done to honor the God name Shiva:

Is this what Jacob was doing to honor this particular God? Is the God in the bible Shiva of the Hindus? Here details Jacob calling the pillar “God’s house”, or the considered "house of God". Now how come we are not told of this in these Churches? Everybody is calling upon Jesus Christ along with the cross, but nothing is said about what Jacob did to honor this particular God.

In the bible states that the pillar is erected, made of stone, pouring with oil upon it, only tells me that this is practice is based on Hinduism. (It's prevalently done in India to this day). A strange quote from Jesus to the Samaritan woman in John 6:22 “Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.”

Seems like this God is known for the pillar in the bible. Now if people don’t believe me then let’s look at Genesis 31:13 “I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointed the pillar, and where thou vowest a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.” This verse details that this God is known for Bethel which is a place that Jacob saw, and the God in his dream where he anointed the pillar to. Genesis 31:45 “And Jacob took a stone, set it up for a pillar…”

Genesis 35:13-15 “And God went up from him in the place where He talked with him. And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where He talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon. And Jacob called the name of the place where God talked with him, Beth-el.”

Well you can’t get any clearer than that…. This practice is tributed to the god Shiva among the Hindus. So how can this practice from India have something to do with what Jacob did in the bible? Someone is not telling the truth about the bible and I know who...

Now there is another verse indicating the pillar; let’s look at Revelations 3:12 “Him that overcometh will I make a “Pillar” in the temple of My God…” Now this is Jesus in Revelations stating this passage himself in John’s vision. In Exodus 24:4 “And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the hill, and twelve PILLARS, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.” Now do you know there are twelve Shiva Lingam temples located in the different parts of India? Even Absalom, who was one of King David’s sons had a pillar in remembrance because he had no son to keep up his name in 2nd Samuel 18:16.

So, these pillars are mentioned as something that is a part of the Israelite culture started by their forefather Jacob. I've always wondered why there was this connection to the corporation called CERN and why they have the Shiva statue there. And even the popular television series called Ancient aliens did an episode on Shiva the god of destruction. Shiva the god who has the third eye and holds the trident, bow and arrows and a sword to fight against the wicked. Seems like they know he is one of the gods in the Bible:

Here Shiva is portrayed as Pashupati and Cernunnos the Lord of the Animals. Deuteronomy 32:24 "....I will also send the beast up on them, with the poison of serpents of the dust." Job 26:13 "By His spirit he hath garnished the heavens ; His hand hath formed the crooked serpent." (In Psalms 50:9-13 details this God to be the Lord of animals, "I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds. For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?")

Here in Geneva Switzerland, the statue of Shiva stands along with the Logo of CERN with the number 666 as Revelations 13:18 states. The number 666 is said to be the number of a man, but can it also be 9 as well? The number 9 is said to be the universal number where all numbers are link towards to. (There are supposed to be 9 deities in the different mythologies)

"CERN" also comes from Cernunnos, the god of the animals linking to the earliest form of Shiva as Pashupati. Shiva is known as the God of destruction and the God of fire on certain occasions. He is one of the Trinity gods from Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver. They are shown among the popular shows like the Shiva Purana and the Vishnu Purana as stories indicate the origins and the adventures of these gods.

In the beginning of the Shiva Purana shows that after the destruction of the last creation, the everlasting pillar of fire is shown as His formless embodiment. Then out of the fire, Vishnu is created and is tasked to create the waters, and then Brahma is created from Vishnu’s navel in the form of the lotus flower, and is tasked to create beast and mankind. Apparently, the two fight over on who is the true God until Shiva in the form of the pillar of fire telling them that He is the one who created them. Vishnu in turn turned to his boar form and went to see where the pillar of fire ended, and then Brahma the creator also went to the top as a swan to find the end of the pillar of fire. But none found the ending of the pillar so they turned back around……

As Shiva in the beginning comes in the form of the Pillar of fire, could he be the same God that took the Israelites out of the land of Egypt in the form of the “pillar of fire” by night and the pillar of cloud by day? Let’s look at more of what these pillars indicate towards:

The pillar would be called the Obelisk or as some would call it “Cleopatra’s needle.” Others call it the phallus of Osiris because it was the only missing member after Set killed him. It is also called Baal’s shaft as he is a fertility god. Now, why is the Vatican square in the shape of the Pillar of Shiva? It looks exactly like the Shiva Lingam that is worshiped in Hinduism. What they are not telling the public is obvious, and that is this is towards a certain god they worship.

Now another aspect that connects to the Shiva lingam is the word Phalo which is the fruit representing the birth of children. Among the some cultures the women would pray to the stone lingam to have children, because the child is the fruit coming forth out of the mother’s womb. In the bible, this can link to how God can open or close the womb of the woman if He pleases. In Genesis 18 as the three men (angels) came to Abraham and Sarah said to them that she will have a child.

Now Sarah and Abraham were old at this time, but the Lord states that nothing is impossible with him. (The name Abram to Abraham and Sarai to Sarah has a connection to the Hindu creator god Brahma and female consort Sarasvati) As well as Jacob’s two wives Leah and Rachel Genesis 29:31 “And when the Lord saw that Rachel was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren” Genesis 30:2 Jacob states “…Am I in God’s stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?”

So, if the blessing is the fruit of the Shiva lingam and Jacob erected the pillar in honor of his God, and is told “your seed shall multiply and be like the dust of the earth”, then that should ring a bell as to why Jacob erected a pillar, and why it looks like a phallus honoring the God Shiva. Very similar is also a stone in Ireland in the "Hill of Tara" called by the Gaelic tongue "Lia Fa’il", which means the speaking stone or the stone of destiny. I find it very interesting that it serves as the coronation to the kings of Ireland, very mysterious….

Now in Genesis 28:12,13 “And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. And, behold the Lord stood above it, and said I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land where on thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;”

So, Jacob is blessed to have lots of children to this day. Now since this is shown in Hinduism, isn’t it a bit ironic that the people of India are the second most populated nation to this day? And what about China being the first most populated nation? In the Ancient Aliens episode on Shiva, the show would detail how the Lingam is not only worshiped in India, but also in Japan and China as well.

Here the Lingam Phallus is celebrated in Japan called the “Kanamara Matsuri” which is done on the first day of April every year. Now when I came across this I thought it was just weird that everybody was eating phallus looking candies and phallus radishes, but then I came to understand that originally it was about having children as a blessing. Because Jacob’s wives were barren in the beginning but God had opened their womb to have children as a promise to Jacob. Even though they deviated from the original factor but they still kept the rituals similar to India.

A Japanese Shinto Priestess states that the festival was started in the late 1970s, but originally had something to do with the real God who made fire. This may connect to Shiva as He is a God who is made of fire, and why He is also a fertility god as well. The Pillar of fire is called "Agni Stambha" which is the fiery pillar in the beginning of creation in the Hindu stories. The Japanese story of the god of fire called "Kagu-tsuchi" may also connect to Shiva, as He comes to destroy the world in the end of time. So, it is interesting for the Shinto Priestess to mention the “real God” who made fire. The phallus is shown as black as well in India and Japan to this particular God. Most of the Shiva lingams are usually shown as black in color.

I also came across an interesting story based on the Navajo creation myths, and in this story tells of the black god of fire (Haashchʼééshzhiní), who uses a fire drill and creates the stars. It is said that he was one of the four gods (First man, First woman, Salt woman) creating the heavens and earth and the different worlds. And the very description that is given to this god is that he has a crescent moon on his forehead, buckskin mask covered in charcoal and white paint, and would look like a beggar. Does this clearly describe the God Shiva as He is also shown with a crescent moon on His head?

But looking at some of the old pictures of the black god of fire, he is shown to have red hair like Shiva. He can be shown in either white, blue, black and red skinned as well. So, a black god with red hair whose flames encompass around about him? He is shown carrying a sword and with flames all about. “For, by fire and by His sword will the lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many….” Isaiah 66:16. Now, how did the Navajo people come to know about this God? Especially when this God has a crescent moon on his head just like Shiva. (Perhaps they were called “Indians” for a specific reason)

Here is an excerpt from Wiki: "Black God has a crescent moon on his forehead, a fullmoon for a mouth, the Pleiades on his temple and he wears a buckskin mask covered in sacred charcoal with white paint. Ritual Significance Despite his importance in the act of creation, Black God (or Haashch’eezhini) appears very seldom in Navajo ritual. The only sacrament involving Him is the Nightway (or Yeibichai), a nine-day midwinter healing ceremony. On the ninth and final day of the ritual, a man arrives in the guise of the Black God. It is not uncommon for Black God to be portrayed by an old man dressed in traditional garb including: fox skin, black body paint, and the Black God mask. The impersonator carries with him a fire-drill (a device that uses friction to incite ignition) and shredded bark (tinder) with which he will demonstrate his pyromancy. Rival Gods There is a conflict between Black God, as the God of Fire, and Begochidi, the creator of birds and animals. This tension originates from the destruction that Black God's fire has wrought on Begochidi's creations. Strangely enough, this rivalry persists despite Black God becoming the protector of said creations in another story. In the story of Deer Raiser, humans have begun to hunt in ways other than those that the gods had ordained. Seeing this, Black God hides game animals inside his home, Black Mountain, and surrounds it with poisonous plants to further ward against intruders."

Then there is another god called "Mixcoatl" or Camaztle who may connect to the Black God of fire among the Navajos. The name from camaz is "deer sandal" and atle "without". (Which obviously connects to Shiva for the deer symbolism) Here is an excerpt from Wiki: "In one story, Tezcatlipoca transformed himself into Mixcoatl and invented the fire drill by revolving the heavens around their axes, bringing fire to humanity. Along with this cosmic fire drill, Mixcoatl was the first to strike fire with flint. These events made Mixcoatl a god of the Milky Way, along with war, and the hunt." So here is the cosmic or fire drill mentioned again towards this deity.

Then there is another deity called Tohil of the Kiche'. "Now, Tohil was the patron god of the Kʼicheʼ and was that of a fire deity and he was also both a sun god and the god of rain. Tohil was also associated with mountains and he was a god of war, sacrifice and sustenance. He was associated with a sacred deerskin bundle that was said to embody him, and one of his titles was Qajawal Kej ("Our Lord Deer").

"The deity was associated with thunder, lightning and the sunrise. There is disagreement over the meaning of the name of the deity. It has been interpreted as meaning "obsidian", as deriving from the word toh ("rain") and as meaning "tribute" or "payment". The deity also possesses attributes that suggest a link with Mixcoatl, a hunting god of the Aztecs. So, here shows that this deity is similar to the Mixcoatl and the Black God of fire of the Navajos, along with the deer symbolism and as the "God of the hunt".

Now, from this information, maybe we can get an idea who he is with the "deer" symbolism. It seems that due to being the "lord of the animals", he would connect to the Navajo Begochidi, and be different than the "black god of fire", who had the conflict with. Cernunnos is shown as the "Lord of animals" again, and as well Mixcoatl and Pashupati with the deer symbolism.

There is also another referencefrom the Navajo based on the "Yeii" or Spirits that control the nature. However, there is another version based on the Black God of fire or the "Black Yeii" and how he became corrupted and evil. There is a Navajo Elder that speaks on the "black Yeii" to which depicts the origin of the Satanic mythos. It seems that this God has a connection to Saturn and the Black Cube (as I will detail later in the coming Chapters) and how this relates to the whole human race.

But let's look at the term "beast" as the term "666" being the number of a "man" or specifically "the beast" (the song "666" by Iron Maiden should tell you something as this connects to "The Wicker Man")

Now, when you look at the etymology of the word "beast", its states this interesting information: "c. 1200, beste, "one of the lower animals" (opposed to man), especially "a four-footed animal," also "a marvelous creature, a monster" (mermaids, werewolves, lamia, satyrs, the beast of the Apocalypse), "a brutish or stupid man," from Old French beste "animal, wild beast," figuratively "fool, idiot" (11c., Modern French bête), from Vulgar Latin *besta, from Latin bestia "beast, wild animal," which is of unknown origin. Used in Middle English to translate Latin animal. Replaced Old English deor (see deer) as the generic word for "wild creature," only to be ousted 16c. by animal."

Originally, the term Beast was refered to the "Deer" and also "Hartbeest", which is an antelope. Does this synchronize with Shiva holding the "deer" symbol on his hand? Let's look up the "Deer" etymology: "Old English deor "wild animal, beast, any wild quadruped," in early Middle English also used of ants and fish, from Proto-Germanic *deuzam, the general Germanic word for "animal" (as opposed to man), but often restricted to "wild animal" (source also of Old Frisian diar, Dutch dier, Old Norse dyr, Old High German tior, German Tier "animal," Gothic dius "wild animal," also see reindeer). This is perhaps from PIE *dheusom "creature that breathes," from root *dheu- (1) "cloud, breath" (source also of Lithuanian dusti "gasp," dvėsti "gasp, perish;" Old Church Slavonic dychati "breathe"). For possible prehistoric sense development, compare Latin animal from anima "breath"). The sense specialization to a specific animal began in Old English (the usual Old English word for what we now call a deer was heorot; see hart), was common by 15c., and is now complete. It happened probably via hunting, deer being the favorite animal of the chase (compare Sanskrit mrga- "wild animal," used especially for "deer").

"Definitions of beast from WordNet beast (n.) a living organism characterized by voluntary movement; Synonyms: animal / animate being / brute / creature / fauna..." The term "Fauna/Faun" :" faun (n.) "rustic woodland spirit or demigod part human, part goat," late 14c., from Latin Faunus, the name of a god of the countryside, worshipped especially by farmers and shepherds, equivalent of Greek Pan. The faunalia were held in his honor. Formerly somewhat assimilated to satyrs, but they have diverged again lately. The faun is now regarded rather as the type of unsophisticated & the satyr of unpurified man; the first is man still in intimate communion with Nature, the second is man still swayed by bestial passions. [Fowler]"

Then it connects to the god "Pan": "Greek god of shepherds and flocks, woods and fields, with upper body of a man and horns and lower part like a goat, late 14c., from Latin, from Greek Pan. Klein and others suggest the Greek word is cognate with Sanskrit pusan, a Vedic god, guardian and multiplier of cattle and other human possessions, literally "nourisher," from a PIE root *peh- "to protect," but others doubt this. His worship originated in Arcadia and gradually spread throughout Greece. The similarity to pan "all" (see pan-) led to his being regarded as a general personification of nature. He was fond of music and dancing with the forest nymphs; the pan-pipe, which he invented and upon which he played, is attested by that name in English from 1820."

This is why the company is called "CERN", as Cernunnos is the "Faun" who is known for the "deer" symbol, thus leading back to Shiva. The term "cloud" and "Reindeer" is based on Tohil and Mixcoatl (cloud serpent), as the "rain bringer" or "Rain Deer", who wears the skin of a buck. (A Buck is shown as a dollar, very interesting)

Now, the word "Shiva" is supposed to mean auspiciousness or kind, whereas the name "Rudra" means the ruddy one, the roarer or the mightiest of the mighty. Here He is known for His ferociousness and wrathful demeanor, which is heavily described in the Bible as well. In the post Vedic stories, Shiva would be called Rudra although they tend to have some differences, as well as some similarities. Rudra would be known to have a pillar called "Rudrabhishekam" which is the anointing of Rudra's pillar similar to the Shiva lingam. (However, I will compile everything and then seperate the differences between the two in later Chapters)

Lets look at the Brahmins of India for example. There is a BBC Documentary based on the history of India and the people, but in the first episode reveals a lot about the people called the Brahmins, which is interesting. There they would recite the Rig Vedas, the poems of Indra the storm God and Agni the god made of fire. However, one interesting segment that caught my intention was the legend of the Aryans being led by the God of fire into new lands. And that reminded me of Exodus as the God of the Israelites would be called "A Consuming fire" who would go forth and fight their enemies.
